Look to the future

Life comes at you fast. As this issue of Prospects was being put together, the COVID-19 pandemic spread around Asia and to the rest of the world. The rapidly evolving situation means everything is soon out of date.

However, the articles in this quarter’s Prospects are looking beyond the current crisis to the developing structural changes which will drive Asia Pacific real estate in the long term. For example, the long-term growth of the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi will not be undermined by COVID-19, nor will it derail the growing wealth and importance of India in international real estate markets.

I would also urge you to look at some of the Prospects back catalogue, published over the past two years. We have covered everything from the impact of blockchain technology on real estate to Australian property debt and the activities of Asian developers in London. If you want to know about walkable cites or what makes family offices tick, take a look at Prospects.

Take a tour of the Prospects website, check out the linked Savills research from around the Asia Pacific region and follow up any ideas you find interesting with our staff.
